Candidate Qualification
Each candidate/nominee must be a current member of HHCA. (Membership is up to date).
Election Structure:
As per HHCA Bylaws: Article 2 2.2 Annual Meetings. There shall be an annual meeting of the Members on the first Thursday in November at such place and time as the Board of Directors shall determine to receive the reports of the outgoing Board of Directors, to elect directors and establish the dues for the ensuing year and to transact such other business as may come before the meeting.

Nominating committee will recruit members interested in becoming officers of the HHCA Board and verify their current status with the Treasurer. The committee members will create ballots with the post and candidate name for distribution at the November General Meeting.
Procedure:
At the end of the general meeting business, the Nominating Committee will have the floor and conduct the election.
1. Verify quorum is present (include proxies)
2. Distribute ballots to members. (1 vote per household; 1 vote for each property owned)
3. Ask for nominations from the floor (nominations from the floor will be write ins)
4. Repeat the names of office and candidates for clarification
5. Allow voting time
6. Collect Ballots (only those on the nominating committee may collect ballots)
7. Two members of the nominating committee will tally the ballots and give the written tally to the President.
8. The President will announce the results.
In the result that only one person is nominated as candidate for a position, that candidate can be voted into the position by declaration.
