Dear
Neighbors,
Let me
clarify the
matter of
two meetings
this week.
I apologize
for the
confusion.
The Overlay
District
meeting has
been on the
books for
two months.
I urge you
to
attend.
If you can
also make
the meeting
at Berean
(about the
church's
expansion
plans into
commercial
development),
please do
so.
Here are the
details:
The Overlay
District
public
meeting is
Thursday,
Aug. 21,
7:00 p.m.
this meeting
will provide
a synopsis
of the
analysis we
provided to
the county
about the
positives
and
negatives of
the
community.
We will also
begin
crafting the
specific
vision for
the Greater
Hidden Hills
Overlay
District.
This meeting
will take
place at the
same site as
previous
public
meetings ---
the
Berean
Community
Center, 2440
Young Road,
Stone
Mountain,
30088.
Recently,
there has
been a new
development
within the
overlay
district.
Berean
Christian
Church is
asking for
rezoning so
that it can
build a
larger
sanctuary,
apartments,
and
commercial
space.
Representatives
of the
church will
describe the
plans at a
meeting
Wednesday,
Aug. 20,
7:30, at the
main
facility,
2201 Young
Road, Room
202.
Last month,
we were able
to defer the
rezoning
request so
that the
community
would have
more time to
hear about
the
plans.
This meeting
is part of
Berean's
efforts to
inform the
community.
If you can't
make the
Aug. 20
meeting, you
still have
time to hear
about the
church's
plans.
Berean will
make a
presentation
on Sept. 4,
at 7:00
p.m., to
the Hidden
Hills Civic
Association.
This meeting
will take
place at the
Berean
Community
Center
(where we
have our
overlay
meetings) at
2440 Young
Road, Stone
Mountain,
30088.
